Louise is a mixed media artist originally from the south coast, now residing in Surrey. Growing up surrounded by England’s wildlife and coastal scenery, she has always been inspired by flora and fauna and other natural delights of the world. During her studies at university, she became drawn to the style of art nouveau and how colour can determine the aura of a piece. 

 

Currently, she predominantly works with watercolour and gouache paints to create both realistic and expressive depictions of wildlife. Louise also enjoys experimenting with new materials and has recently been experimenting making earrings from clay, resin with dried flowers and macrame and looks forward to stepping into the worlds of lino cutting and embroidery. 

 

Having graduated in 2020 with a degree in Graphic Arts with Illustration from Winchester School of Art, part of the University of Southampton, Louise is now the Business Development Manager for a lake-based watersports company where she also enjoys being a SUP Instructor and Windsurf Assistant Instructor.
